This image was stacked from 92 frames taken with a severely astigmatic, non-color corrected 75mm diameter copy lens. This is the original image from December of 1999. I have reprocessed it in many ways since then, but I can't better this one. I think it probably got the most TLC of any image I have ever made. It is the pinnacle of my stone knives and bearskins days.

I forgot to make darks, so the dark frame was a median of three frames from the lower left corner of the mosaic. The overall size of the image is about 3x3 frames, or 960 x 720 pixels. It was stacked at 3x, so the resulting image was 2880 x 2100 pixels, and around 12 MB on disk.
