M44 Beehive Cluster

M44 Beehive Cluster
M44 LRGB

The Beehive cluster was the first view I saw looking through a 10" Cave reflector. It looks like diamonds. This image does not do it justice. It's hard to get stars without saturating them. They have so much dynamic range. It is also called Praesepe, which is Latin for manger, and so it is also called the Manger. It is visible with the naked eye in the constellation Cancer.
