NGC 891

NGC 891
NGC 891 Luminance only

I love a good edge-on spiral and NGC891 is one of the best. It is in Andromeda, and has an apparent magnitude of 10.8. It is similar in size and structure to the Milky Way. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1784.
